Pulse 21 Manual
Hello all, Lennox is finally giving in on the Pulse units. Now first let me say I am a Pulse furnace fan, they are pretty neat units. That said, lennox will no longer make most of the 'critical parts' for these furnaces. There is an aftermarket ignition control for these, made by BASO BGN891.

There is some warantee relief for the original owners and for subsequent owners less than 15-20 years (depends on which bulletin you read, see the below info. If a key component (other than the heat exchanger) is found to have failed and is no longer available, the following offer of a replacement furnace will be made to the homeowner if the furnace installation is less than fifteen years. Let me know if there's anything new for my Lennox Complete Heat After a few Taco Pumps, it's still working OK We call em' complete HEAP. Anyway, the last intonation for the complete heat HM30, was the polaris made HM61. Think HM30, upside down.
And no they weren't anymore reliable. The HM30 is a fine unit if the heat exchanger doesnt pit. Because its stainless, and hot it is suceptable to both clorides (NaCl/salt) and sulfates (sulphur compounds). Both of these occur in your water naturally.
That said, if the water doesnt (or hasent yet) kill it, the only other item that tends to fail is the circ. Make sure you use the potable water circ, and I think I'd even look into the stailess or brass impeller versions if your brave. The other thing that seems to be an issue is the ignitor, and the inducer gaskets, Keep a good eye on the ignition groundwires too. There was a warentee option for the HM30 is the H.E. Leaked, and I think it was limited to the original owner, but I can research it through Davenet (as in Dave Lennox.) if you give me the mod/ser numbers.

For Troubleshooting procedures, Lennox Pulse furnaces are shown in Fig. 2-21 shows a chain of G-14 C furnace series. Note the difference in the electric circuit for the G-14 and GSR-14. Fan speed colored wires are also different departments. 40, 60, 80 and 100 after the G-14 C indicates whether it is 40,000, 60,000, about 80 000 or 100 000 BTU/h unit. Thermostat anticipation of heat is also given, for Robertshaw valve and Rogers valve. This type of electrical circuit, usually glued to the Cabinet so that it was with one whenever the need arises in Troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting flow chart is typical of those furnished with new equipment in the technical manuals furnished dealers who provide the service. After the discovery of the exact symptoms, contact other part of Fig. 2-20 to learn how to use a multimeter to check all the schemes to see if the exact cause of the problem can be determined.
