We're trying out a little-used 2006 Tahoe Q4 SF this weekend and are currently inclined to close the deal. Question: I have a fair amount of boating experience but it's long-ago experience, and I don't have any boat-buying experience. When buying a boat nowadays, would one expect to get a manual with the boat? The current owner seems conscientious, and delivered us what he thinks are all the manuals: the Merc 4.3 engine, the trolling motor, the depth finder - everything's got a manual EXCEPT the boat. He vaguely recalls having the same discussion when he bought the boat and being told boats didn't come with manuals 'because everything was so obvious.' Tahoe's web site doesn't seem to have a location for downloading PDF product manuals or ordering printed ones. Is there such a thing?

I have all sorts of little questions about things like maintenance intervals and such. Re: Manuals Tahoe Q4 Yeah, what Rich said.

Very basic stuff in the boat manual. Looks like the important ones are there. Maintenance intervals should be in the engine manual. Abe study manuals. I would recommend you find a good local boat shop and make friends. Have what work you can't do yourself done there. Ask them about different things you should do and when you should do them.

Buy your supplies from them. The more they see you around, the more questions you ask, the more they will be helpful when you need them.

Re: Manuals Tahoe Q4 Normal operation for the master switch is that it has to be on before any other switch s function is possible with exception of the blower. The blower is constant hot to allow purging the motor well prior to using the other functions. Normal operation for the bow and anchor lights are, turn on master, the up position of the nav/anchor switch the bow and the anchor will both work. With the switch in the down position only the anchor light will work. This is standard function for all brand boats.
