33000 mi Rear struts were both leaking, replaced under warranty 12000 mi Noticed a clicking/thud noise coming from the front right wheel area. Dealer said that it had to do with the strut mount, and that the entire strut assembly would be replaced under warranty. Car was safe to drive while waiting for the part. 1000 mi Checked alignment and found not in spec. Needed to return for dealer to get direction from Honda. The rear toe was out and not adjustable.
1000 mi Dealer got reply from Honda to correct the toe issue by adjusting the carriage. Yet dealer said rear is NOT adjustable! Alignment is on very outer limit to be in spec! I requested it be fixed! They said NO!
Very disappointed! 29760 mi Could not find rattle in rear suspension, suggested I come back later and make another appointment. 9500 mi Front of car popping when accelerating, driving up hills, or turning. Dealer replaced front sub frame and problem became much worse.
Car is still in the shop. Front subframe repair was unsuccessful so car returned to shop. 10400 mi Front left creaking under acceleration. Subframe and sway bar end links replaced.
Problem persists. 49200 mi front suspension rattle clunk 29000 mi Front Suspension has a creaking/squeaking noise at colder temperatures. Mechanic heard the noise and said that is a normal noise for this car. My father has the same car with no noise. I will be bringing the car back and contacting Honda. 44000 mi US $535 Driver's side front strut making a knocking noise when cold, ride quality slightly less smooth, fluid evident on the outside of strut. Dealer replaced strut for $435.

Dealer advised that front sway bar end links need replacing. 84000 mi US $40 Sway bar end link had failed 81000 mi US $350 soemthing in the front, one on each side, car was safe to drive according to dealer, part had to be replaced in pairs. It caused clunking when hitting bumps 54800 mi US $1000 The rear shocks and tires had to be replaced. 75200 mi US $13000 Replacement struts. 180000 mi US $200 Stabilizer links were rattling, replaced with aftermarket heavier devices with grease fittings.
102000 mi US $260 left front wheel bearing replaced, abs sensor had to be replaced as well 42000 mi US $400 Right rear damper leaked all its oil onto the garage floor when parked and had to be replaced. 70000 mi US $780 Steering has developed a sticky notch on center and the power assist is not even. Repair cost $2000; must replace entire EPS steering rack. Waiting for it to get worse.
Update: remained intermittent, only when cold out. 84800 mi US $150 Rear shocks. Replaced myself with Konis. 90520 mi C $175 Replace sway bar links kit. 56000 mi US $100 The steering control chip went out and my power steering wouldn't work until I killed the engine & started it.
65000 mi Vehicle in for B1 maintenance. While it was in the shop I had them diagnose a knocking on the front driver side. Diagnosed as a loose sway-bar end that needed to be replaced. Part ordered but not installed on this trip. 67000 mi US $88 Replaced loose sway-bar end.
85000 mi Electric steering unit was failing. Covered under extended warranty. 143000 mi Just oil change and inspection, which was passed. However, replacement of a suspension item at passenger front wheel and motor mounts was recommended within the next year. 85300 mi US $320 stabilizer bars fixed 190340 mi The last visit to the shop the week before I sold it was to find the source of a periodic 'clunking' in the front end when braking, two things were found: 1. The wrong lubricant was likely used on the brake pad slide area (mechanic noted it was dry); and 2. The lower control arm bushing (right side) may need replacing - the mechanic sprayed some deep creep on it.
As a result of this two adjustments, the clunking disappeared, but since he did both things at once the actual solution was not isolated. 175794 mi Remove and Replace Lower Control Arms due to worn bushings. 47000 mi electric power steering randomly shut off while driving through traffic. Shut car off, turned back on, problem went away like it has before. 29000 mi US $150 Mechanic reported rear wheel alignment could not be corrected without installing shims.
There we paid for installation of shims, re-check of alignment. Search on Google suggests alignment problems are common for Honda Fit 2007. 145000 mi US $995 Replaced all 4 shock absorbers.
67200 mi US $227 Replace the Link kit to front sway bar. The links were starting to get loose since summer of 2015, they were not completely wear out, but noise were audible in low speed over small bump. The car had 67 000 when the repair was done.
105400 mi C $850 power steering occasionally was not working. Replaced electric power steering unit. 136760 mi C $350 Dealer replaced both tie rods, one needed replacement. Alignment included after. 69440 mi C $400 Sway bar bushings and end connectors ( rod ends) were all loose. Rubber bushings and the linkages were all replaced. 78120 mi C $433 Both front bearings were replaced 81080 mi C $300 Replaced rear shocks.
