I have a Roto Hoe 990-5 tiller and YES I have the Operating & Instruction Manual (printed 9/15/80)as well as the Repair Parts Manual (printed 10/01/80). The Instruction manual has frame assembly, Part #, Description,original list pricing, handle assembly, & maint. The Repair Manual has the Frame & Tine Assembly as well as the Shaft Assembly. The motors for these units did vary, most utilized the Tecumseh H50 or HH50. I also have the Owners Manual & Operating Instructions for the Tecumseh engine. The owner wanted $50 for the shredder and no motor and the tiller was stored elsewhere and he wanted much more for that tiller. We negotiated for a while without success about the shredder without engine and it still sits there with the tiller now attached and still no engine. You got a good deal for the shredder and engine if the engine is worth anything; even better if you got the tiller.

I would not expect much from the rear mounted tiller with no wheel drive. The linkage basically is via lever and pulleys to either power the shredder or the tiller. If yours has driven wheels, it is a greater deal. Can't personally help with manuals but roto hoe is a good brand but rare in California. Ken Hiilliard.
